Sounding like they’ve been listening a lot to Grizzly Bear (probably seeing as they toured with them last year, Ed) with multi-vocal layers of swooning and aahhing and oooing over the top of lazy guitars and hazy orchestration, think The Shins if they got stoned more.
The Morning Benders recent album “Big Echo” is big on echoes and anthems. A good effort which takes all the bits you like about a lot of bands, mixes it all up, shakes it all about and you get something which sounds alright but won’t rock your world completely……having said that “Excuses” is a catchy one.
